I'm glad Google has a handle on this, now that I have good serps I no longer rely on adwords, but for certain products I'm sure this was a problem. Google puts a lot of effort into this or getting a bad reputation would probably destroy them.

I'm really starting to like the sitemaps tool. Think of site maps as a way for you to talk to Google and for Google to let you know if there is a problem.

I think one of the hardest things about SEO is maintaining. Getting your site to the top of the search engines is one thing but keeping a site in at the top of the serps is quite another. There is only so much you can learn about SEO and then you basically level out. I will tell you a lot of the thrill is gone. Even with great serps you will be surprised at how little traffic you really get. Don't get me wrong there are some great diamonds in the rough and it is totally worth while. But keep in mind that the internet it takes time to learn and it is not that easy to get rich.

All the big player are choosing sides, I guess Bill picked a good time to get out. It is always fun to see what Google is going to do next. Now that they have money and a revenue stream the next few years should be exciting.

I'm sure glad I work mostly from home. I think we are going to see wider use of vpn's and remote connectivity. I remember what seemed like yesturday gas under a dollar when I lived in Georgia.

Looks like IBM made the right moved getting out of the laptop and PC business. I like selling services and not fighting over 20%-30% on a one time hardware deal.

Times are changing, I'm so jealous of today's youth and they take it all for granted. Wow, I'm starting to sound old.

Google earth was always cool, but I see they are now posting comments on the maps made by end users. This is a cool feature and I accidentally discovered what a religious building close to my house was. I'm curious as to where this may lead, like when visiting other towns and cities you may uncover some cool places to go and eat.

Some more good stuff from Matt, I'm glad that Google allows Matt to do this. I've had some good questions answered and the site has benefitted.
